As part of foreign aid investment program feasibility grants, undertook an economics assessment for a proposed AUD370 million highway rehabilitation and development. The work included assessing consistency of the project with broader national strategic, economic, and sector objectives, identifying key economic activities in the project area and how the investment could provide benefits to the national economy, cost-benefit analysis for different investment options, assessing how the investment could impact the local economy of project areas, its wider contribution to economic recovery following low commodity prices and effects of the COVID pandemic, and a review of national debt sustainability and potential impact of debt funding arrangements.
